Julie and Jeff -Wauwatosa I hired this firm to do a full renovation of my family room, powder room and kitchen last summer. They did a great job. I live in a 1927 home that is the home I grew up in. The kitchen was last updated (except some cosmetic work) in 1961 when my parents bought the home. I wanted a functional kitchen that opened into the family room, while staying within the footprint of the home and keeping the same aesthetic of the rest of the house.
To say that I am pleased is an understatement. The group was friendly, professional, fun, and gave me the end result that is more than I had hoped for. I will use them in the future for other projects. Cynthia- Whitefish Bay Jim Grote with Cream City just completed our bathroom makeover. We recently moved into a 1930 home with a leaking shower. The existing plumbing could not be repaired but we did not want to go through a demo and lose the original tile work. Jim was able to come up with a creative solution to replace the plumbing, without sacrificing the tile. We were also incredibly pleased with his ideas to update the vanity, lights, and shower doors. It's the best of both worlds. Our bathroom is vintage, beautiful, and completely functional. A great experience all around. Jim is very responsive and easy to work with. He truly is concerned with his clients' happiness!
Jessica- Wauwatosa We have undergone two renovation projects with Cream City. Our first project was a bathroom 4 years ago. It was a complete gut and the end product was beautiful. Jim realized our vision and has a great aptitude for maintaining the integrity of an older home. Our kitchen reno just wrapped up and, once again, we are very pleased. Jim and Todd, the owners of CCC, are excellent people-persons, instilling confidence and assurance in their clients. Jim took our plans and did a sterling job of overseeing all facets of development. Both Jim and Todd were extremely attentive to every detail and sensitive to addressing our wishes and special requests. CCC subcontractors were the best in the business, professional, neat, courteous, and punctual. Jim completed the entire project in advance of the proposed finish date. Needless to say, we are exceedingly satisfied with all the craftsmanship, daily enjoying the completed product. Dick and Bonnie- Whitefish Bay Our kitchen remodel was a huge project but due to the knowledge and experience of Jim and Todd at Cream City Construction all went smoothly. The design was beautiful and the timeline was followed. Jim went out of his way to track down the granite originally selected for our counter tops. We appreciated the selections made for our sink, faucet, flooring etc. We weren't overwhelmed with decisions. Our kitchen is not only what we wanted - it is better than we could have imagined. We both enjoy having the room to work together in our new kitchen. Bill and Sara- Shorewood During the past 15 years, I have contracted with Cream City Construction on five different occasions for remodeling projects that have included a kitchen, two bathrooms,a front entry way reconstruction, door replacements and closet organizers. I have continually been impressed with their attention to detail and extreme focus on customer service. In addition, their ability to create designs that are extremely functional while also maintaining consistency with the architectural style of older homes (ours is a 1920s era Tudor) is truly impressive. Our kitchen remodel is now 15 years old and we still get compliments on it. Both Jim and Todd are easy to work with and do a great job of making what can be a stressful process extremely pleasant through consistent communication and a demonstrated high degree of integrity. Cream City Construction recently completed the remodel of our Master Bathroom and 2 additional bathrooms in our home. CCC was great to work with from the start until completion, and they were also very focused towards staying on schedule and budget. The communication from Jim was exceptional throughout the entire project. Their team of contractors were very respectful and professional. We are so thrilled with the end result of our beautiful new bathrooms that we would not hesitate to recommend CCC or use CCC again for any remodeling needs.

They were very professional, receptive to our input and gave courteous feedback based on their experience when appropriate. they also were very easy to communicate with and were prompt with their responses even for very small questions. Most importantly, they were very organized and kept to their planned schedule, even when there were setback/scheduling issues from subcontractors, which is extremely common. based on our previous experiences with other remodelers and from other experiences we have heard from friends, this is extremely rare in the build/remodeling business. in hindsight, we wish we would have used them for all of our previous remodel projects and will definitely use CCC for any future projects. We chose Cream City Construction b/c prior to any construction or contracts, they displayed great customer service and took the time and multiple appointments to explain everything to us. CCC also managed to maintain the character of our home. During our entire renovation project, CCC stayed on schedule with minimal delays. Also, their subcontractors were professional and timely as well. CCC is more like family than a contractor for hire. Looking back, I am confident when I say CCC turned our house into our dream home and I would highly recommend them. Richard and Monica - Whitefish Bay As you know, we had a major snafu early in our project, when the prefab fiberglass shower module that arrived did not fit down our basement stairs. Unfortunately, that misjudgment caused some frustration, as well as a delay on the project completion date. However, we really felt that you made every effort to correct the problem and come up with a fair solution. Ultimately, we are much happier with the look of an all tiled shower and are delighted with our final result! Thanks for everything! Cream City Construction has created a wonderful transformation of my home. They have been able to maintain it's historical integrity at the same time of making it functional for a 20th Century Family. I was able to see "before" pictures and I know live in the "after." Their attention to the detail is evident in so many changes in my home. Most people that walk in to my home have no idea that doorways have been altered a bit, some of the molding is new, walls have been added, and other transformations. It definitely appears as if it was part of the original structure of the home, however, many changes are new with an alignment to the home's history. Review their website to see how well their projects have turned out. They really know how to maintain history in a home and make it functional to today's family. Both were complete tear outs. The project was very involved due to the historic old house. Cream City made the whole process easy for us. They stayed on time and on budget. The creative way they found to access the work site allowed us to not really even “feel” the construction going on in our home. They kept the area clear of any debris, were very respectful of our home and our space. The end results are exactly what we had hoped for, beautiful and better functioning for our family. Steve and Patricia- Wauwatosa We used Cream City on a substantial design/build project this year involving the addition of a master bedroom suite to our home. Our home was built in the 1930’s so it was important to create a new space that fit with the style of the home while also providing modern amenities and space utilization. Another challenge involved matching the stone exterior of the new space with the existing stone exterior. Cream City did a great job, completing the project on time and on budget. The new space feels like it was always part of the home and the exterior matches perfectly, down to the stonework and windows. This was the second project that we have completed with Cream City and we would definitely use them again.
